Who Is He?

Dr. Hung-Rong Yen’s research interest involves the comprehensive understanding of the immune system and how modulation of immunity contributes to the treatment of human diseases. Dr. Yen’s academic training and research experience have provided him with a background in multiple biomedical aspects. As a physician with dual clinical training in western medicine and Chinese medicine, plus scientific training in the Ph.D. program and post-doctoral fellow training abroad, it is his hope that his training in clinical and basic science could be translated to a better understanding, curing and preventing immunological diseases through approaches such as Chinese medicine and acupuncture.

He is currently a physician scientist in China Medical University Hospital and serves as the Deputy Director of Research Center for Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture supported by the Aim for Top University Project, Ministry of Education, Taiwan.
